M
ETA formed in 1985 and incorporated in 1987 in response to the demand for trained individuals to serve the growing asbestos abatement industry. Our training services have since grown to include hazardous waste, lead-based paint, and other environmental, health, and safety issues. Now one of the largest providers of environmental and safety training services, META's success is predicated upon an adherence to three basic principles:

1) simplicity in form,

2) accessibility of services offered, and

3) practicality of information provided.

Early on in its history, META expanded its services to include technical support to building owners, property managers, and employers in addressing a growing list of complex environmental concerns. These expanded services include environmental consulting, engineering & design, environmental investigation and materials testing, and industrial hygiene services. META’s grass roots involvement in the industry and its sensitivity to regulatory and legal liability issues made this expansion a logical progression. Adhering to the same principles that accounted for the success of our training division, META's technical services division produced similar growth. Our staff of professionals currently includes professional engineers, a certified industrial hygienist, and industrial hygiene and laboratory technicians. We also maintain professional affiliations with other qualified firms for any additional consulting needs that may be required.

The Industrial Revolution of the last century produced many technological advances, making life more comfortable and reducing the amount of labor and cost associated with most tasks we perform. Over the last 25 years, however, society's increasing concern with the environmental and public health impact of technology's by-products has prompted numerous environmental regulations with which building owners and business managers must comply. The '90's have been called the "Decade of the Environment." Business forecasters expect environmental regulations to grow much tighter and more complex in the years ahead. For better or worse, environmental issues and the the associated regulatory requirements are here to stay.

As META continues to grow, it maintains its sensitivity to and understanding of the environmental needs of businesses and building owners. Our professional staff and legal research team stay current on environmental regulations at all levels of government, allowing them to continually assess the impact these regulations may have on the regulated community. META provides cost effective management solutions that fit within your budget and commits all necessary resources to your project to ensure timely and cost effective environmental solutions.
