Environmental Assessments:
META has performed numerous (over 50) Phase 1 and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA's). The Phase 1 ESA's were performed in several public facilities (e.g., hospitals, schools, nursing homes, community centers), industrial/ manufacturing facilities , office buildings, and retail facilities (grocery stores, restaurants, etc.). They were all performed using the applicable ASTM standard. META has also performed several Phase II ESA's involving subsurface investigations for water and/or soil contamination; these were performed in landfills, service stations, a heat plant, and several air force facilities.

OSHA Asbestos Compliance Surveys:
OSHA compliance surveys are performed to ensure that a particular source is in compliance with all applicable regulations. It can be used as a pro-active measure to avoid fines and penalties, or it can be performed as a remedial measure, executed in response to OSHA violations that have been identified by the agency. META has performed OSHA Asbestos Compliance Surveys in many different types of facilities, including: public buildings, such as hospitals, post offices, apartment complexes; and in industrial settings, including a chemical manufacturing facility, a rubber manufacturer, and a large printing facility.

AHERA/NESHAPS Surveys:
AHERA inspections are required for all non-profit schools (Kindergarten through 12th grades) initially (in 1989) and every three years afterwards. META has performed several (over 100) AHERA inspections in school districts throughout the Midwest, including Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa. We have also performed limited asbestos survey in many public facilities, such as nursing homes and fire stations, where the sampling protocol is not as comprehensive as that which is performed in schools. NESHAPS inspections are required on all facilities (except isolated residential facilities) prior to renovation and/or demolitions. META has performed many NESHAPS inspections in schools, office buildings, and public facilities.
