META's
technical services division is staffed with professional engineers,
certified industrial hygienists, industrial hygiene technicians,
accredited asbestos professionals, and laboratory technicians.
We maintain an ongoing continuing education program and participate
in major professional trade organizations to make certain our
staff remains abreast of the latest advances in technology. Our
clientele includes over 400 public and private concerns, including
public and private schools and colleges, public buildings, military
installations, industrial complexes, and hospitals.
This
division is divided into three departments.
Consulting
Services
META provides a full range of consulting services to meet
the needs of our clients. These services include the following:
Environmental
Assessments
META regularly performs Phase I Environmental Assessments
following ASTM standards, Phase II follow-up research and
materials sampling, and Phase III testing and remediation.
These comprehensive assessments address the full range of
environmental liability issues facing today's building owner/property
manager.
Risk Assessments
Our professionals provide information needed by the
building owner to help address the risks associated with environmental
property issues. Cost estimates for management activities,
including remedial action, are provided.
Regulatory Compliance
Our professionals work with you to bring your facility
into full compliance with all applicable regulatory statutes.
Project Design & Management
In the event that remedial action is required, our
staff provides state-of-the-art project management and design
services to ensure that the action is executed safely and
in full compliance with all applicable regulations.
Industrial Hygiene Services
META provides a full range of industrial hygiene services. The
services are performed by industrial hygiene technicians or a
Certified Industrial Hygienist, as project requirements demand.
Air
Monitoring
META's air monitoring program includes air monitoring
for asbestos abatement projects, lead abatement projects,
and for various heavy metals and organic vapors found in the
workplace. Our technicians are equipped with field laboratories
for PCM analysis of asbestos air samples to ensure a timely
turnaround of sample results.
Occupational Safety and Health Studies/Plans
META's professionals study your specific facility
and develop site-specific plans and programs to address all
aspects (chemical, biological, physical, and ergonomic) of
safety and health in your facility.
Industrial Hygiene Field Monitoring
META provides site safety and health supervision for
hazardous waste remediation, underground storage tank removal,
and other renovation/demolition projects requiring heath and
safety monitoring and oversight.
Laboratory
Analysis Services
META provides air sample analyses for asbestos, using Phase Contrast
Microscopy, NIOSH Method 7400. In addition, META’s
contract laboratories provide state-of-the-art analyses of a wide
variety of materials and compounds found in air, water, and soil.
The volume of samples generated by META increases our buying power
and the level of service offered by the laboratory; these additional
savings and services are, in turn, shared with our clients.
